We love the ferry. It’s one of the rare occasions when we actually stop and relax. And taking the ferry always seems to put us in vacation mode. What’s not to love about that? Plus there is always something happening onboard Northumberland Ferries. So check this out!
Go see Chef Ilona Daniel’s cooking demos and sample local breweries, wine makers, chocolatiers, jam and jelly makers and so much more. And the kiddies will love the complimentary face painting this year on select crossings as well. You have got to love the ferry!
Immerse yourself in Maritime Culture with the finest music, local food and beverage samplings onboard Northumberland ferries on select sailings this summer!
This summer the Seaside Experiences Program is entering its 4th consecutive year allowing travellers to experience a taste of what Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia have to offer.
The program begins June 29th and runs every day except for Saturday until the end of September.
The new menu keeps the classics like the Iconic Island Breakfast while adding some new healthy and interesting options. Some of the new additions include delicious: chowder fries, smoked salmon bagel, handpies from the Handpie Company located here in PEI, lobster croissant sandwich and more.
The menu took several months to complete as they wanted to showcase authentic Island cuisine and give passengers a taste of what to expect when visiting PEI and the Maritimes. Prince Edward Island is known as Canada’s Food Island and we wanted to show both locals and visitors what this means. Visit the Saltwater Café and the East Coast Snack Shack grab’n go station. Both offer tons of local products from Upstreet Brewing, ADL, The Handpie Co. and more!
See you onboard!
