A special Featured Foodie for National French Fry Day is Ken’s Island Fries!
Not that we need an excuse to eat fries, but today is National French Fry Day. So we chose to go visit one of my fav Island french fry spots, Ken’s Island Fries in the Charlottetown Canadian Tire parking lot. Ken’s fries remind me of the fries back home in Montreal. So good. Plus we love the whole food truck thing.
It is believed by some that the term “French” was introduced to the potatoes when the American soldiers arrived in Belgium during World War I and consequently tasted Belgian fries. It is suggested that they called them “French” as it was the official language of the Belgian Army at that time.
To celebrate National French Fry Day, we sat down and shared a feast of fries with the team here at TechnoMedia. So go pick some up and share French fries with your friends today. Post on social media using #NationalFrenchFryDay and tag where you got your fries.
Thanks to Brandon and Ian for letting us take their pics and for the great fries!
